TRICARE Reserve Select

TRICARE Reserve Select is a premium-based health plan for Selected Reserve members (and their family members) who qualify

Step 1: Qualify

  • Member of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve
    • Includes Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve (Reserve Components)
  • The RC member must not be eligible for, or enrolled in, the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program in their own right. This exclusion ends Jan. 1, 2030.
  • Individual Ready Reserve members, including Navy Reserve Voluntary Training Units, don't qualify.

Step 2: Purchase

Online

  • Log in to the Beneficiary Web Enrollment Portal.
  • To log in, you must have one of the following:
  • Select “Purchase Coverage” and follow the instructions to enroll.
  • If using Beneficiary Web Enrollment to purchase TRICARE Reserve Select coverage, don't select FEHB if you aren't a federal employee. Otherwise, you won't qualify for TRICARE Reserve Select. If you don't qualify, you won't be able to complete or print the form.

Don't Just Stop Making Payments

If you don't follow the correct steps to end your coverage and you simply stop making premium payments, your coverage is terminated. During this time, you're still responsible for any premium amounts that are due.
